I’M NEW HERE!

Hi! New here? Thinking about a visit or have questions?  We’re glad that you dropped in!  We hope our website gives you a taste of what Suburban Bethlehem is like and that you are encouraged to drop in for worship or explore other opportunities to get to know us.

The first thing to note is that Jesus is where things at Suburban Bethlehem begin and end.  We look to what He teaches us by word and example as we “do church” here at Suburban Bethlehem Church and School.  But let’s cover a few questions as you consider dropping in for worship.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT?

You should expect be welcomed at the door by our Pastors and Greeters.  You then will meet Elders near the doors of the church who will give you a bulletin that serves as the guide through the service.  In our service, you discover that our worship focuses on God’s Word and Sacraments (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper).  Scripture readings and message for the day let us experience the life of Christ to grow in relationship with Him and each other.  Above all, we are aimed at giving members and guests the opportunity to meet and trust in Christ our Savior.  At Suburban Bethlehem, He is what we are all about.

WHAT IS A WORSHIP SERVICE LIKE?

On Sunday, we offer services at 8:00am and at 10:30am. The 8:00am service is more formal and traditional. Songs are from the hymnbook, led by the organ with choral and handbell music at some services. The 10:30am service is more contemporary in style, with music being led by Redeemed, our praise band.
We also have a Saturday service at 5:00pm from Labor Day to Memorial Day and Monday services at 7:00pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We hold this service in our church Fellowship Hall with seating around tables. Coffee is available for those that are interested.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You’ll see a suit and tie here and there but dockers, jeans, khakis etc. are most common.  The Lord is happy to see you in worship no matter how you are dressed!  We are, too.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Kids are the church, and we love to have them in worship, restless or not. Age-appropriate activity bags are available in the back of the sanctuary for toddlers and young children. A nursery is also available at the back of the sanctuary with a small restroom for family use if need be.

WHERE IS SUBURBAN BETHLEHEM LOCATED?

Our church and school is at the corner of Flaugh and West California, south of Hwy 30, just west of Sweetwater.  Church parking is off Flaugh Road.
