Today’s prayer topic is prompted by the Old Testament Reading we will hear in worship this morning. Genesis 22 is one of the most challenging sections of God’s Word. Abraham tested by God with an unthinkable command. This matches up with the Gospel Reading today where Satan tempts Jesus to sin, but unlike us He comes out victorious! Pray this day for all those who are tempted by evil. Whatever the source of the temptation we know it has a common source: the father of all lies, Satan himself. Pray for all those facing temptation that they (and we) draw upon the strength of Jesus and the victory He gives!
See you this morning in God’s house – worship services at 8:00 and 10:30 am!
PS – for those who love such technical things, you will notice today (and every Sunday) in this season is not counted in the 40 days of Lent. Today is a Sunday in Lent, but not of it. Even today, the Lord’s Day, is a “Little Easter.”
